Smash Bros. Round-up: Week of October 3 – 9, 2014

Hello readers. This is a little segment that I’m looking at doing on a weekly basis as long as Smash Bros. remains high up on the gaming scene.

What I’ll be doing here is providing links to articles that I think are informative and helpful to those interested in Smash, as well as links that provide new info, or discuss problems with the games.

So, here’s this week’s update.

Kotaku:

Kotaku has had numerous articles over the past week dealing with the release of the 3DS Smash. So, here are the highlights:

http://kotaku.com/tips-for-playing-smash-bros-1642167986 – Tips for playing Smash Bros.

http://kotaku.com/super-smash-bros-finally-comes-to-wii-u-next-month-1643255089 – Release date announcement for the Wii U Smash Bros.

http://kotaku.com/smash-bros-might-have-a-little-mac-problem-for-now-1643379258 – A look at how the internet reacts to the ‘Lil’ Mac Problem’ that is supposedly going on.

http://kotaku.com/smash-bros-creator-explains-how-characters-get-on-the-1644208199 – How the characters are chosen for Smash Bros., an article which has spawned some controversy in the comments section.

IGN

While not as full of in-depth articles as Kotaku, IGN had some news that would interest fans.

http://ca.ign.com/articles/2014/10/07/super-smash-bros-for-nintendo-3ds-sells-over-28-million-copies – The 3DS Smash Bros. is already selling like hotcakes.

http://ca.ign.com/wikis/super-smash-bros-wii-u-3ds/Unlockables – IGN’s wiki provides info on how to unlock everything.

And that is my round-up for the past week. I will try to keep a closer eye on Twitter and Facebook, as well as these websites, over the next week, so there’s more variety in websites.
